loving not understanding, and above all accepting (4 February 2016)

Colour is a human need like water and fire.
It is a raw material indispensable to life.
- Fernand Léger

Above all, it is a matter of loving art, not understanding.
- Fernand Léger

I don't like Léger's work, but I like his thoughts on colour.

Moments with James Turrell's space pod were quite profound and the colours miraculous.

And I always feel I can be absorbed by Rothko's work, for instance.

Apparently Barbie was also "invented" today.
She was certainly reinvented and relaunched a few days ago, and now comes in different sizes, hair, eye and skin colours (but not features), and Barbie is now able to wear flats and sneakers.
Old sixties Barbie wasn't all bad though ...
