be optimistic and look outward (11 March 2016)

I have been re-watching The West Wing.
I just read an article about Elisabeth Murdoch (she gave birth to her son Rupert on this day).
It suggested that a reason for not watching The West Wing on nine concurrent days is that we, unlike Elisabeth Murdoch, probably won't live until 103.

I haven't wasted a minute of my life.

Few can rival Dame Elisabeth's enormous contribution.
... academia, the arts, children, flora and fauna, heritage, medical research, social welfare...
[She] also devoted herself to less popular causes: prisoners, children in care, those battling mental illness and substance abuse.

Be optimistic and look outwards: make the best of things or change them.
